About the show
“The Adventures of Tol-Dar (& KITU is also there!)” is an animated comedy in the style of a Saturday-morning cartoon. Tol-Dar the barbarian has all the outward qualities of an ‘80s action hero, yet none of the bravery or heroism. KITU, the flying robot sidekick, acts as Tol-Dar's oft-ignored conscience.
When his life's on the line, Tol-Dar turns to ‘the kids at home’ and attempts to teach us whatever life lesson he believes can be drawn from the situation he's in. His advice is almost always obviously wrong and tends to fail spectacularly.
Tol-Dar and KITU surf the Quicksand Dunes and delve into dungeons to loot the remains of a mystical ancient civilization. Some of the treasures they unearth are powerful techno-magical creations, but just as many are household appliances. To Tol-Dar, who is ignorant as a rule, these are of equal value.
A pilot episode is complete and currently being distributed by ANIMATION 1908 for screenings at at film festivals, art schools, and animation industry events around the globe.
